Hannah is Baptized in Christ

On September 17, 2011, Hannah was baptized at Penn Hills Free Methodist Church.  This was the same church Ron and I got married, and the pastor who married us also baptized Hannah.  He is no longer the pastor at the church, but we still really wanted him to perform the baptism.  He agreed to do this, so we had it on a Saturday and made it our own little ceremony.  Ron played a song by Casting Crowns, called Who am I?  It's about even though we sin as people, God still loves us so much that He died for us.  Not because of who we are, or anything we have done, but because of His grace and love and what He did on the cross.  Ron prayed over Hannah that she would grow up to know Christ, and my father prayed over us that we would be godly parents.  Hannah was baptized and didn't make a peep.  She just smiled.  She's so super cute.  It was a beautiful ceremony, and then we ate!  We had a great time, and it was so special.  Here are some pics!

We changed her out of her Christening dress, and put her in this pink one.  This was what I was originally going to put her in the whole time, but my mom and dad bought her the beautiful Christening dress.  She's so cute!  I just love her!!!!!!!

One month old

Hannah had many adventures during her first month of life!  We went to the Zoo, had a fourth of July party with the family, and hung out.  At her one month visit she was 9 pounds and 14 ounces and 21.5 inches long.  Such a big girl!  She's so active.  She loves her baby gym and her swing.  It took some time to get used to the swing, but now she LOVES it!  Bo is very curious about Hannah, but he's so gentle.  He loves to look at her and he tries to kiss her face.  She started to smile, but we couldn't get it on camera.  We tried for twenty minutes one day, but couldn't get it!  There is one picture that is kinda close :)

Three months old

September was a busy month as usual.  We celebrated cousin Joey's first birthday and mom's birthday.  They were both born on the 2nd.  Joey's party was on Sat, and it was a HOT day!  The kids had fun swimming and playing.  Garrett even started playing corn hole :)

We went over Kevin and Christina's new house to celebrate Mom's birthday on Monday.  It was labor day weekend, so it was a long busy weekend.  Ellia loves to help with Baby Hannah.  She always wants to hold her and she even helps me feed her a bottle.  Every time I change her diaper she wants to see if it's a poppy diaper or just a pee diaper.  She makes me laugh so hard!  She's expecting a little brother in October, so I can't wait to see how much of a helper she is to Christina!  She is going to be such a great big sister!  Korey was able to make it to Mom's party, so I finally got a picture of him and his niece who were both born on June 7th, 21 years apart!

Hannah also now can sit up!  She loves to hang out in her Bumbo chair.  She thinks she so cool she can sit on her own...well sort of.

Also, bath time has become a family affair.  Bo likes to come in to see what all the noise is about.  Hannah is in there laughing, and he wants to be a part of it as well.  So funny!

Two month and growing!

She's getting so big.  At her 2 month visit she was 11 pounds 12 ounces, and 23.5 inches long!  She's in the 75% in weight, and 88% in length.  She's growing so much!  She got her first big set of shots and did really well.  She of course cried, but thankfully she wasn't grumpy afterwards, and really just slept more.  She's such a sweet baby.  My favorite part of the day is coming into her room when she wakes up and seeing this huge grin on her face.  It just makes my day.  She's so funny.  She loves to stretch and kick.  I've never seen an infant just want to stretch as much as she does.  Hannah actually now LOVES her bath.  She loves to kick the water.  She likes to try and push herself off from the side of her little infant tub.  She thinks it's so funny.  She's such a happy little baby, and she's always smiling.  We were so blessed with such an easy baby.  I can't believe how she changed so much in two months.  We tried tummy time, and she feel asleep.   Silly Girl!!

I really enjoyed my maternity leave.  It was so wonderful to spend all day with her every day.  I never knew I could love something so much.  She is so much a part of our lives, I have no idea how I survived without her!  It's so amazing to think that God loves her even more than I ever could.  As a parent, you really don't think anyone could love your child anymore than you could, but amazingly enough God does.

On August 8th I returned to work. :(  I had such a tough time with it.  I love my job, and I missed being there, but I love being a mom.   The first day Ron and I dropped her off at daycare I cried so much.  I actually cried getting her things together on Sunday evening, on the way to the daycare, at the daycare, and on my way to work.  My mom called me to see how I was doing, and I cried with her on the phone.  I got to work, and cried there.  It's funny looking back on it, but I had a really rough time.  Things are a little easier, I don't cry anymore, but I still miss her so much when I'm not with her.  She goes to daycare three times a week, and Linda, my mother-in-law, watches her two days a week.  It's such a blessing that Linda watches her.  The women at daycare are wonderful, and I know she's being taken care of all week when I'm not there, but I miss her so much.

So many people have told me and I'm also learning for myself, that you feel guilty about everything.  It comes with the territory.  You worry about every decision because it doesn't just affect you, it's affects at least two other people.  I think most women in general worry too much.  In Philippians 4, there is a verse that God continues to teach me:  "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything with thanksgiving present your requests to the Lord, and the peace of the Lord, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus."  God doesn't want us to worry.  In Jeremiah He tells us He has a plan for each and everyone of us.  A plan to prosper us, and to give us a future. So as a mother, a wife, and as a person I am trusting Him, and I know He will be with us no matter what.  We have been blessed with such an amazing life to take care of, and I look forward to see what He has planned.

Mid August, Ron, Hannah, and I went to Idewild with Nana and Pap pap, Aunt Christina, Aunt Kristin, and cousins Ellia, Magerie, and Garrett.  We had so much fun.  Uncle Ron had so much fun hanging out with the kids.  We finally got that smile on film :)

At the end of August, Mommy and Daddy turned 29!  Crazy.  Celebrating our last year in our twenties.  My birthday is August 23 and Ron's birthday is the 26th.  We celebrated by going out to dinner with my family and headed back to our house for cake and ice cream one week and the next week we went out to dinner with Grandpa and Grandma Guentner.  I have to get better at taking more pictures.  I promise will do better!
